Happy New Year 2007!
Today is the start of the Chinese New Year celebration. Yesterday we prepared for the new year by cleaning the house. It is considered bad luck to clean on New Year's Day because you may sweep the good luck right out the door! Emma and I tried our hand at making Chinese dumplings from scratch. Also known as potstickers, these symbolize wealth. She dressed in red, a Chinese tradition at the New Year and even got to stay up late!

Cora-Li has been growing in our hearts since February 2005 when we started the adoption process. Our dossier was logged in on October 14, 2005 in China.

- I am married to my dear husband, Sean and we have a beautiful 5 year old adopted daughter named Emma-Lin. Our first journey to China to bring Emma home was in September 2002. Our pets are our sweet, black lab, Spanky-Rose and our quirky, persian mix cat, Jenny-any-Dot. We are anxiously awaiting the referral of our second daughter, Cora-Li who waits for us in China.
