Happy First Birthday Cora-Li

Today our baby girl turns one. We wish we could have you home to celebrate but you are probably getting ready for bed or already asleep right now as it is 8:00 p.m. in China. We bought you a cake with a ladybug on it and Emma is going to wrap your gifts. She picked out a strawberry dress to match hers. She says you will be here when we go on our annual strawberry picking day. She is also giving you her Dancing Mickey which was her favorite toy. It will be fun to see how you react to it. Have a wonderful birthday night. Sweet dreams of your loving family waiting for you at home. Kisses from Daddy, Mommy and Emma-Lin. XXXOOO

REFERRAL!!!!

With great joy, we announce the referral of our beautiful, baby girl Lian Bao Lu; soon to be Cora-Li Lian Bao Lu Moyer. She is residing at Lianjiang Welfare Institute in Guangdong Province. As I posted yesterday, we were originally told she was from Jianxi (still confused about that). She is just gorgeous. She was born on March 25, 2006. Bao in Chinese means bundle or package; precious treasure; guarantee. She is all of that! Once we get the translation, we will post more! Please www.myadoptionwebsite.com to visit our family website and see her pictures. Click on Family Websites at the bottom left of the screen and then scroll down to Families Waiting to Travel. Click on Lovin' Cora-Li to get into our personal website.

Our Referral is Coming Today!

We got an E-mail last night that we have a beautiful, new daughter from the Jiangxi province! That's all the information we have at this time and won't know anymore until the package arrives. Jiangxi (pronounced Jyung she) is a province in southern China and is known for its natural beauty of misty, green mountains and clear waters. It is also known as the "Porcelain Capital of China".

The Stork Has Landed

Hip, Hip, Hooray! I got the call today around 2:15 p.m. from our agency today that our referral package should be arriving via FedEx either tomorrow or Wednesday. Maybe tomorrow we will finally get to see Cora-Li's pretty, little face! Little does the FedEx man know he is doubling as "stork"!

Oh, please let the package be filled with referrals!

This is the latest news from the China Adopt Talk forum...

R5It is nearly guaranteed that there is a package in the mail.R3The mail may contain referralsR4The mail will likely contain TA'sR3It is rumored that 10/19 is in and 10/27 is not. Between those dates we do not know.R3There is noise that matching has not finished yet and therefore all referral and cutoff rumors are rated R3 only at this point. Conclusion:Someone will be very happy early next week with either a TA or referral and we just need to wait and see. I am not sure if all months are this crazy for the queen or not but this is an incredible task if it is always this crazy. My hat goes off to the Rumor Queen.

An R5 is the highest and most reliable rumor available. There is definitely something heading out from CCAA. R3 for the referrals- not a great rumor, but I'll take it! Click on the Rumor Queen link to the right and then click on Rumor Ratings for a breakdown of the rumors and what they mean.

Off to go roller skating with Emma (her first time) and Sean, and take my mind off the computer for awhile!

This Just In!

"Rumor Queen forums are rating an R4 of a package of referrals having left the CCAA on 3/2 China's time. Also an R3 that 10/27 is not included. " (as quoted from a fellow adoptee on my OCT. 2005 DTC group on yahoo.)

Here's the definition of an R4:
Rumor that we feel good about. It comes indirectly from a source that is usually right, or it’s coming from multiple sources, but just not quite enough to give it a 5r Designation yet.

Let's hope it's the real thing. Folks, keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer!
I'm doing the referral dance!

Obsessed with Checking my E-mail and Yahoo Group

Another day- another done. No news as of yet. All I know is that I am obsessed with checking my e-mail and yahoo group every five minutes. I don't know why but it just seems I just have to read some rumors-ANYTHING! Time to take Emma to dance, so the computer gets a break and so do I. Time to catch up on some magazines I got in the mail. I'll be back on watch at 6 p.m.!
