Obsessed with Checking my E-mail and Yahoo Group

Another day- another done. No news as of yet. All I know is that I am obsessed with checking my e-mail and yahoo group every five minutes. I don't know why but it just seems I just have to read some rumors-ANYTHING! Time to take Emma to dance, so the computer gets a break and so do I. Time to catch up on some magazines I got in the mail. I'll be back on watch at 6 p.m.!

No Rumors Out There Yet!

Today was an unexpected surprise of a day off from school. Snow and sleet hit for a second time in the area. I used this time to continue preparing "the nest" for Cora-Li's arrival. Closet cleaning and reorganization was the task at hand. Mission completed! All of Emma's clothes have been sorted and those too small have been packed away for her baby sister. As we were cleaning she said, "Hey, she has more clothes than me!" When I reminded her that she was getting new clothes because she had outgrown the others, she was thrilled with the idea and forget about sibling rivalry! With extra time on my hands, I have been checking the China Adopt Talk Forum and my Yahoo group for any rumors. Nothing Yet! With CCAA back to work after the Chinese New Year holiday, we should be hearing rumors this week or next. YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I will keep you posted.

Happy New Year 2007!
Today is the start of the Chinese New Year celebration. Yesterday we prepared for the new year by cleaning the house. It is considered bad luck to clean on New Year's Day because you may sweep the good luck right out the door! Emma and I tried our hand at making Chinese dumplings from scratch. Also known as potstickers, these symbolize wealth. She dressed in red, a Chinese tradition at the New Year and even got to stay up late!

Rumor Queen Out of Town- Good News on the Forum

Throughout this long wait, I discovered the Rumor Queen. She is anonymous, but I do know she just received her referral from China. Unfortunately, she was sent out of town on business, so my lifeline to the rumors regarding the next batch of referrals has been cut off! The forum is still up and running though. I checked this morning, and there is rumor that a large agency has informed their waiting parents that matches are being made at CCAA this week. They do not think the referrals will be sent out before New Year, but expect them the end of February or beginning of March. Yeah!!! It is exciting to think that they are looking at our pictures and paperwork and matching us to our Cora-Li!
